What Are CNC Container Covers?
CNC container covers are bolt-together steel roof kits that span the gap between two shipping containers. Set two containers (often called conex boxes) parallel to each other, bolt the cover across the top, and the open space between them becomes covered, weather-protected storage or work area. The containers act as the walls. The cover is the roof.
Every kit is clear span, which means no center posts. Equipment, vehicles, and stacked materials can use the full width between your containers, wall to wall.
How a Conex Container Cover Works
Your kit ships direct to your site with the steel framing, Galvalume roof panels, and hardware. The frames mount to the tops of the containers and the roof panels bolt into place. Your own crew or a local contractor handles assembly, which keeps costs down and keeps the schedule in your hands.
Because the kits bolt together, they can be taken down and moved if your operation relocates.
Benefits of Container Covers
- Weather protection. Keeps sun, rain, and snow off equipment, feed, materials, and inventory.
- Clear span. No center posts to work around.
- Galvalume steel. Coated for long-term corrosion resistance.
- Lower cost than a full building. Your containers become the walls, so you only pay for the roof.
- Secure storage on both sides. The containers lock, giving you secure storage next to open covered space.
Common Uses
- Farms and ranches: hay, feed, tractors, and implements
- Construction sites: tool and material storage, covered work areas
- Industrial yards: parts, pallets, and equipment
- Commercial: inventory overflow, vehicle and fleet cover
- Residential: workshops, RV and boat cover
Container Cover vs. a Full Steel Building
A full steel building needs a foundation, walls, doors, and a longer timeline. A conex container cover uses containers you already own or can buy locally, so it costs less and goes up faster. For many farms, job sites, and yards, it delivers the covered space they need without the price of a full building.
Getting a Quote
To size your kit, we need three things:
- Your container size (20 ft or 40 ft)
- How far apart you plan to set the containers
- Your location, so the kit is matched to local snow and wind loads
